Stan French, President, and Jim Boisvert, Project Lifesaver Administrator.“BAYSAR demonstrated the Project Lifesaver electronic search technique at Sirens in the Park with the help of first responders and a young volunteer from the audience.”“Stan French explains to the audience how the Project Lifesaver demonstration will work. First responder participants (North Bay Police Service, OPP, EMS, East Ferris Fire, Callander Fire, and Correctional incident response officers) prepare for a game of ‘hot potato’ with a Project Lifesaver transmitter. The transmitter was handed off to a North Bay Police Officer and once Stan French and the young volunteer, Magdalena, were out of sight behind a screen, the first responders started playing ‘hot potato’ with the transmitter. Magdalena counted to 20 and yelled out using the mic to let the first responders know that time was up; and whoever had the transmitter put it in their pocket. All the first responders then returned to their area. Magdalena then started to try to find the first responder with the transmitter.”“BAYSAR display at ‘Sirens in the Park’, Callander, ON, August 20, 2022.
