In recognition of their work with Project Lifesaver

On October 23, 2021, NBPS received a call that a Project Lifesaver client was missing. The client had been missing for two hours before family members called 911. Cst. Oerton attended the residence while Cst. Hofmann started a mobile search with a Project Lifesaver receiver. With just two radio receivers the missing person was found in less than 10 minutes.

In recognition of their exemplary search and rescue achievement, Cst. Cole Oerton and Cst. Shawn Hofmann each received an ‘Angel Pin’ and a Rescue Commendation from Project Lifesaver International and BAYSAR Air Search and Rescue in a presentation by Stan French, President of BAYSAR, on December 10, 2021

Please make note that the presentation was done using as a background the helicopter owned by Ken Sim, BAYSAR volunteer pilot.

Here’s a link to the NBPS tweet about the Presentation https://twitter.com/NorthBayPolice/status/1469325987456368640
